Job Description: The Raytheon IIS Hardware & Infrastructure Engineering (HW&I) team is seeking individuals with expertise in infrastructure integration and environment management to join our team developing the state-of-the-art GPS-OCX system – the ground station for the next generation GPS satellite constellation. The qualified candidates will have a background in system administration including exposure to automated system and software deployment tools and techniques. They will be responsible for full system builds, including troubleshooting configuration and integration issues. Ideal candidates will be self-starters with a keen mindset for system and application troubleshooting. Some travel (<25%) may be required for installation and troubleshooting support at customer sites. An existing US Government Secret clearance is required with US Citizenship. Note: Candidates with a current Secret Security Clearance or higher are eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon. Required Skills: - Experience as a Linux System Administrator - Ability to understand and modify scripts in languages such as bash, Perl, Python, and Ruby - Knowledge of virtualization concepts and tools and familiarity with public/private clouds - Strong system and application integration and troubleshooting skills - Experience documenting and maintaining multiple system baselines, e.g. dev, test, prod - Demonstrated capability to perform system builds using automated DevOps tools (Chef, Puppet, or Ansible) - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Current US Government Secret Security Clearance and US Citizenship is required Desired Skills: - Exposure to other emerging DevOps tools/technologies such as containers and microservices - Exposure and system hardening to Information Assurance standards such as DISA STIGs - Understanding of Change Management processes and tools - Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products Required Education: Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of related work experience or 12 years of related work experience in lieu of a STEM degree 113936
