/What your key responsibilities will be:/

This position is responsible for coordinating the provision of eating disorder assessment and treatment at CAPS, and managing the multidisciplinary Eating Disorder Services team, which is comprised of various providers from CAPS and Wardenburg Health Services. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the timely provision of evaluation and clinical service for students with eating disorders and related concerns; providing training and consultation to staff to ensure familiarity and compliance with EDS policies, as well as excellence in clinical care; adapting EDS policies and procedures as necessary, based on clinical demand, evolving standards of care in the field, and risk management needs; making recommendations regarding referrals and overseeing the referral process when students need a higher level of care; providing training to CAPS and WHS staff about the specific nature of eating disorder treatment, including the need for medical monitoring and referral to a higher level of care, when needed; providing oversight to staff and trainees who deliver services in this domain; working with community partners to develop and maintain strong relationships that benefit students and enhance coordination of care.

The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that eating disorder related services are provided in accordance with the standards of the American Psychological Association and are consistent with the policies of CAPS, Wardenburg, and State and Federal guidelines.

The Coordinator will be a manager and will supervise a team of clinicians. This will include completing performance plans, updates and evaluations on each employee throughout the year

This position will collaborate with other campus departments as is appropriate for the treatment of CAPS's patients and will ensure that issues of Diversity and Social Justice are considered in all eating disorder assessment, treatment, referral, and training services provided.

/Mental Health Services/

  • Provide direct clinical services and mental health services to students, individuals, groups, couples or families, including assessment, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management.

  • Provide crisis intervention to clients and families. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorder. Maintain thorough and confidential records of observations.

  • Complete mental health evaluation via walk-in, crisis intervention or scheduled intake.

  • Provide ongoing individual, couples, and/or group psychotherapy, and behavioral health screenings as well as comprehensive psychological testing and assessment.

  • Write and review psychological assessment reports.

  • Provide after-hours coverage on rotation as needed.

  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of assessment, treatment and referral processes, as they occur, via the EHR.

  • Provide clinical case management as needed.

/Coordination of Policies and Programs/

  • Monitor and manage the demand for eating disorder assessment and treatment, and ensure the timely provision of services.

  • Develop and update policies and procedures regarding the treatment of eating disorders within CAPS.

  • Provide consultation and training to CAPS and other WHS staff regarding eating disorder treatment and relevant EDS policies and procedures.

  • Oversee the referral process and make recommendations regarding when referral to an off-site provider is required.

  • Facilitate weekly meetings of EDS providers in order to provide clinical oversight, training, and consultation to staff, as well as to monitor and support staff in their adherence to EDS policy.

  • Manage the ED Treatment Team Tracking List in Medicat.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners (i.e., off-site treatment centers) to ensure a smooth referral process and ensure that students are matched with an appropriate level of service.

  • Provide input to the CAPS Leadership team with the regard to performance and productivity of staff and trainees who provide eating disorder services.

  • Work closely with CAPS Leadership to address any issues regarding EDS policies and procedures that develop.

/Additional Responsibilities:/

  • May design/implement health education programs to increase awareness.

  • May administer wellness programs and activities to improve health/wellbeing.

  • Serve on committees as assigned.

  • May provide clinical supervision to mental health trainees.

  • May provide campus outreach based on specialty as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by Director, which may include campus consultation, outreach, and supervision of trainees./ /

The anticipated salary range for this position is $80-85,000.

/What we require:/

  • A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology.

  • Must be licensed in Colorado as a Psychologist by date of hire.

  • Two years post-licensure professional experience providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment in a mental health setting.

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience providing eating disorder treatment.

  • Two years of experience providing mental health services in a college or university student population.

  • One year of experience supervising mental health professionals.

  • Two years of direct clinical service with individuals diagnosed with eating disorders.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a history of strong collaboration and team involvement.

  • Demonstrated commitment to multicultural competence and social justice issues.

  • Knowledge of Federal and State standards regarding mental health.

  • Experience conducting sessions in Spanish/Mandarin/Arabic.

  • Experience working with minority and underserved populations.

  • Experience working with international students.
