DaVita Analyst, Strategy & Operations in Denver, Colorado

This position will use data visualization and modeling to improve the quality of an integrated care management program responsible for thousands of patients with kidney disease across the country. The analyst will be responsible for providing actionable insights to business and clinical leadership through performance dashboards and ad hoc analytic projects. Top candidates will have a strong analytical mindset and technical toolkit, with the ability to build professional relationships with and explain data to a non-technical audience.

The position is part of a small but growing and analytics team that is constantly seeking to improve its capabilities and efficiency. Intellectual curiosity, the desire to pursue new skills, and willingness to contribute to the team’s development are highly valued.


The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Creates and updates monthly, quarterly and/or annual performance dashboards

  • Supplements standard analytics with statistically and/or quantitatively driven insights to further drive the teams understanding of the results.

  • Formulates data-driven solutions/recommendations and presents to business/clinical leadership

  • Prioritizes individual project workflow while providing necessary updates to senior management.

  • Manages projects independently and routinely interacts with internal business and clinical partners.

  • Supports the analytics team in developing new tools and analytic capabilities to enhance efficiency and quality of deliverables


Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Minimum of 1-2 years data analysis experience in an academic or business setting

  • Familiar with intermediate to advanced statistical methods that can be readily applied to work assignments

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and intermediate proficiency in MS PowerPoint


  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (physical sciences, mathematics, computer science, economics, etc.)

  • Experience in a research setting

  • Experience with VBA

  • Experience using R, Python, or another programming language for statistical analysis

  • Ready to create new data processing and warehousing solutions to increase the analytics team efficiency
