Leidos REVIT MEP Drafter in ENGLEWOOD, Colorado
Responsible for design/drafting of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing disciplines using Revit & AutoCAD; Provides electronic and hardcopy deliverables including drawings in both 2D and 3D; Understands specifications, codes and design criteria and incorporates these principles/standards into end product. (Civil, Architectural, Structural design experience are a plus).
The Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) constructs and maintains research and logistics facilities in Antarctica. Drafters work to support small projects, building renovations and additions, as well as new structures. Drafters work closely with both the in house Project Management and Engineering staff.
WORK LOCATION*: 7400 S. Tucson Way, Centennial, Co 80112
HOUR OF OPERATION*: Core hours are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, but there is flexibility within the 40-hour workweek
TRAVEL*: One deployment to Antarctic Stations for up to 6 weeks per year is possible
_ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES_:
Prepare complete 2D and 3D AutoCAD & Revit drawings in conformance with the requirements, codes, standards, and design criteria established by the Department. Must be able to create designs from rough sketches and concept drawings supplied by department Design Engineers/Architects. Accomplish Revit & AutoCAD drafting of design drawings at the direction of the CAD Lead and Design Engineers, as well as as-built drawings during and after construction utilizing our as-built procedure.
Additional tasking includes clash detection, blue-beam 3D-PDF conversion, Navisworks, Building Revit families & libraries and working with outside A/E firms as needed.
DESIRED SKILLS:* Formal code training, including AIA, UBC, IBC, NFPA, and others is preferred.
_EDUCATION_: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:* None required.
TRAINING:* Revit & AutoCAD
EXPERIENCE:* Minimum five years Revit/CAD drafting experience is required. Experience using AutoCAD/Revit 2014 or higher is required.

Deployment may be required in this position at discretion of management. If required, the individual in the position must successfully complete the physical and dental examinations, and psychological examination for winter-over positions, as required by the NSF for deploying to Antarctica. Failure to meet these requirements may result in withdrawal of employment offer or other employment action.
